There is only one public community health center in Muzac, it was built in early 1980’s to service about 14,000 people. This clinic is under-staffed without a medical doctor. It is administrated by a nurse. Most of the time, there is no off-hours coverage, including nights and weekends. It is under-equipped with no medical or biological laboratory to perform any medical test. Therefore, it is unable to provide adequate services to the public. There is no dental clinic, so people have to walk about 10-14 kilometers to see a dentist. It is conceivable that dental care and health preventions are not provided to the general public. The lack of modern education and limited access to health care contribute to the fact many people explore traditional treatments when they become sick. It is not a coincidence that, due to the poor health conditions, the average life expectancy is relatively low.
